Medals and certificates are awarded for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places; medals or ribbons and certificates for the 4th, 5th and 6th positions in their age groups.
Several Club Perennial Trophies are also competed for:
Girl’s Junior Cup. For swimmers swimming all 25m & 50m races. Boy’s Junior Cup. For swimmers swimming all 25m & 50m races. Points are awarded as follows: 1st place - 3 points, 2nd place - 2 points, 3rd place - 1 point.
Points are calculated at the completion of the Championships and the swimmer with the highest points is awarded the trophy. In the event of a tie, the trophy is shared. Girl’s Craig Shield. Girl 8/under with the fastest 25m backstroke time. Boy’s Craig Shield. Boys 8/under with the fastest 25m backstroke time. Girl’s Jubilee Cup. Age 12 and over awarded to the swimmer with the highest points in all 200m events. Boy’s Jubilee Cup. Age 12 and over awarded to the swimmer with the highest points in all 200m events. Girl’s Matthew Armes Shield. Age 12-16 yrs, swimming all 100m events, times are calculated and the fastest time overall wins the Shield. Boy’s Matthew Armes Shield. Age 12-16 yrs, swimming all 100m events, times are calculated and the fastest time overall wins the Shield. Keith Webber Cup. Awarded to the swimmer in the 25m Butterfly who records the highest Personal Best from last year’s Championships. Girl’s Club Champion. All ages, awarded to the swimmer with the fastest 100m Individual Medley time. Boy’s Club Champion. All ages, awarded to the swimmer with the fastest 100m Individual Medley time. Master’s Trophy. Age 25 yrs/over, awarded to the swimmer with the fastest 100m time. Webber Salver. Awarded to the girl who has made the most progress during the year, this is awarded by the coaches. Selvey Salver. Awarded the boy who has made the most progress during the year, this is awarded by the coaches. Driver’s Cup. Awarded to a swimmer who has made significant progress during the year and who has not received any other trophy, awarded by the coaches. |
