If selected it is the swimmers and parents responsibility to confirm whether they are available. It is expected that selected swimmers swim in these events as representatives of the Club. Repeated refusal to swim can result in swimmers not being considered for future selection.

The age groups are (normally) determined as age on the date of the final gala of the league, so your swimmer will be swimming against other swimmers of similar age. Swimmers will be told which event they will be swimming once they have arrived on poolside. Galas and League Events take place in a single evening (normally Saturdays). The exact number of teams competing against depends on the league and the number of lanes at the selected swimming pool.

The Club provides transport for those League Events where private travel is not so convenient. When transport is provided there is a small fee payable on the day. Swimmers: £1.00 & Spectators: £2.00. Spectators will also be charged an entry fee to watch the gala, normally £2.50.
